Cookie Policy

How we use cookies and essential browser storage.

Last updated: 10 October 2026

SurfacePro Flooring (“we”, “us”) operates surfaceproflooring.com.au. This policy explains how our website uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure clean operation, security, and user convenience.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your web browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognize your device and remember essential choices (such as form security tokens) during your session.

Types of cookies we use

We prioritize minimal data collection and lightning-fast site performance. We use only strictly necessary cookies:

1. Essential Security & Session Cookies

Our web framework (Laravel) sets a temporary encrypted session cookie (XSRF-TOKEN and laravel_session). This cookie is strictly necessary for Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) security protection, allowing you to submit quote request forms safely.

2. Preference Storage

If you accept or dismiss cookie notices, a small preference flag may be stored in your browser's local storage to remember your choice.

Cookies we do NOT use

No Advertising Cookies: We do not use third-party ad targeting or retargeting pixels (such as Meta Pixel or Google Ads remarketing).
No Cross-Site Tracking: We do not track your browsing activity across external websites.

Cookie Duration & Expiration Lifecycles

Session cookies are temporary and expire automatically as soon as you close your web browser. Persistent cookies or local storage preference flags remain stored on your device for a predetermined period (typically up to 12 months) or until you manually clear your browsing cache and cookies. We periodically review our cookie lifecycles to ensure compliance with Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Managing or disabling cookies

You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Please note that disabling essential session cookies may prevent quote forms from submitting securely.

GDPR Data Protection & User Rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), you have key rights regarding your personal data submitted via our website:

Right to Access & Export

Request a copy of any personal quote data held in our systems.

Right to Erasure ("To Be Forgotten")

Request complete deletion of your contact records at any time.

Right to Rectification

Request immediate corrections to any inaccurate contact information.

Withdrawal of Consent

Opt-out of any data processing without fees or penalty.

Third-Party Services & Technical Data Security

SurfacePro Flooring never sells, rents, or monetises visitor information or browsing habits to third-party data brokers. All online estimate interactions and quote inquiries submitted through our website are protected by industry-standard 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption in transit. Our infrastructure runs on high-performance servers configured with strict Content Security Policies (CSP), HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), and anti-tamper security headers. When third-party assets such as mapping tools (Google Maps) or spam mitigation (Google reCAPTCHA) are loaded to process address locations or verify genuine customer inquiries, those external providers operate in accordance with their independent privacy policies.

We do not store payment card information or financial credentials on our web servers. Direct payment for trade flooring services, deposits, and progress claims are managed through accredited Australian banking channels and tax-compliant electronic invoices. If you have any inquiries regarding data protection protocols across our South East Queensland service operations, our management team can provide a written statement of compliance upon request.
