1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of surfaceproflooring.com.au and to enquiries made through it. Separate written terms accompany any quote you accept, and those terms prevail over these where they differ.
2. Website content
We aim to keep the information on this site accurate and current, but it is provided for general guidance only. Process descriptions, timeframes and indicative figures are not a quote and do not form part of any contract.
3. Quotes
Quotes are provided in writing after we understand the scope of work. Unless stated otherwise, a quote is valid for 30 days and is based on the site conditions described to us. Conditions found only once work starts — unexpected slab damage, additional adhesive layers, moisture problems, asbestos-containing material — may require a variation, which we will discuss with you before proceeding.
4. Access and site conditions
You agree to provide safe and clear access to the work area, along with power and water where required. Furniture, fixtures and valuables should be removed from the area before we arrive unless agreed otherwise in writing.
5. Concrete as a material
Polished and sealed concrete are finishes on an existing structural slab. Natural variation in colour, aggregate exposure, patching, joints and existing cracking is inherent to the material and is not a defect. We will discuss the likely appearance of your slab before starting.
6. Payment
Payment terms are set out in your quote or invoice. Deposits, where required, are stated in the quote.
7. Workmanship and consumer guarantees
We warrant our workmanship as stated in your quote. Product warranties are those offered by the relevant manufacturer. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies the consumer guarantees that apply under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Australian Standards and Trade Compliance
All subfloor preparation, diamond grinding, and floor levelling work is executed in accordance with Australian Standard AS 1884-2021 (Floor coverings — Resilient sheet and tiles — Installation practices). Where applicable, slip resistance for external and sealed surfaces is tested against AS 4586 standards.
- Subfloor Flatness: Grinding achieves standard tolerance of less than 3mm deviation under a 3.0-metre straight edge.
- Moisture Assessment: In-situ relative humidity testing is conducted per ASTM F2170 prior to non-breathable coating installation.
- Trade Qualifications: All works are directed by trade-qualified specialists holding AQF Certificate III in Flooring Technology (MSF30822).
9. Dust Containment and Silica Safety
In compliance with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland regulations, dry unextracted grinding or cutting of concrete is prohibited. SurfacePro Flooring deploys certified H13 HEPA dust extraction units attached directly to machine cutter heads to capture airborne respirable crystalline silica (RCS).
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, and other than as required by the consumer guarantees referred to above, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit or delay costs arising from a third party’s programme.
11. Insurance Coverage
SurfacePro Flooring maintains full public liability insurance coverage up to $20,000,000 across all residential, commercial, and industrial job sites in Queensland. Certificates of currency are available upon request.
12. Intellectual property
The text, photographs and design of this website are our property or used with permission, and may not be reproduced without our written consent.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
